
Abrevaya is the founder and director of
the Samara Dance Company. The word samara is Arabic for “seed of the
elm” which is appropriate since the troupe originated in Elmhurst. Abrevaya also dedicates the namesake of her
troupe to her father, Sam.
The dance troupe performs at different
venues, including haflas, benefits, and events
around the Chicagoland area. Special performances
include, Elmfest, Glendale Heights International
Festival, Lewis University International Festival, and Esperanza Community Center benefit show.
The Samara Dance Company is available
